This is my main motorcycle, a 1997 Kawasaki ZG1000 Concours, nicknamed
the Green Monster. I purchased it in 2003 with 5000 miles on it. Since then
I've averaged about 15,000 miles a year, mostly doing long distance riding. It was
my second bike. The first was a 1982 Yamaha XS400 Maxim, which I gave to our friend Kelly.

I also have a 1980 Suzuki GS1100L that I partially restored in 2004. It belonged to my
friend Dave Nahan, guitarist in our band shoot lucy. It turned into more of a project than I'd
